Africa Thriving is a non-profit charity dedicated to partner with local tribes and villages in Africa to bring clean water, food and faith.

Every day I wake up, thankful that I was born in Africa, I just wish that everyone else born in Africa could have the same opportunity that I have been given to thrive. The vision became clear to me on a return trip to Africa in 2013. On that trip we met key community leaders with substantial influence within their own tribes. I was given a Maasai name, Saruni, meaning the one who brings help. On that day Afriva Thriving was set into motion. That is when I knew what I was created to do.
There is nothing more exciting than human life. All life requires water and yet some people struggle greatly to find their next drop. Every person on the planet has struggles but none of them are hopeless. Helping others with their struggles is what give us strength to face our own struggles. My hope is that the work of Africa Thriving infects everybody near and far to do something far beyond what we think is possible.
This is the perfect opportunity for me to live out the passion welling up inside of me to help others thrive. After being born and raised in Africa and now living in the United States, I have always lived in a home away from home.
Meet Our Team
As a Mechanical Engineer and an entrepreneur, I hope to teach key life skills, to the leaders that we work with, to help lead them out of poverty so they can thrive.

Dreams don’t become a reality unless you live differently. We don’t give up when things get hard. We don’t force things into existence that aren’t supposed to exist. We don’t stop trying because it doesn’t seem likely. We think outside of the box.

We follow up our thoughts and our words with action. We are willing to take big risks to brighten somebody’s day. It’s not about us, it’s about who we love. Martin Luther King said it best “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
